Spotify not updating my/my friends activity

For the last couple days, my Spotify desktop app hasn't been publishing my listening activity and the majority of my friends activity. It seems to only publish the listening history for a few of my friends when they use the app on their mobiles, but even this is only for a few of them (like me, activity is not being published for some of them when either the mobile or desktop app has been used).

Because I have two seperate accounts, I have tested to see if my claims are correct and I have had positive results. On my second account I followed my main account and it said that I had last listened to music 2 days ago, when I had actually had about 8 seperate listening sessions using this account since then. I also tested the reverse and followed my second account with my main and I got the same result (last listened to music 2 days ago when I had used the app twice that day with account 2). This was carried out on both my phone (listening on my phone and checking on the desktop) and desktop apps with Private session disabled, and "Publish my activity to Spotify" enabled (with both accounts).

This seems to have happened as a result of the most recent update.

I have the same problem.

Tested with my friends, seems there is a bug in the newest Spotify Version. (1.0.80.474.gef6b503e) 

Can someone from the Spotify developer team confirm this?

Yeah! The same thing is happening with my account too. I checked the friend activity using a second account and it still stated that I listened to music 5 days ago - although I listened to something only 5 mins ago. Can someone from Spotify please fix this bug?

I have the same problem, glad to know i'm not the only one.

Also: Deinstalling/Reinstalling, Unfollowing/Refollowing friends, turning on/off private session does not fix the issue sadly.

Hope to see a fix for this in the next update!

Me too! the button "publish my activity" is on, yet my followers cannot see my activity on their feed.  I have even logged into my friends account from my computer (to see if it was a device problem) but their activity seems to publish on their followers' feed just fine. I even deleted the Spotify app and reinstalled it and it is still not working. This has been going on for 8 days!
