Spotify on Windows 10 freezes randomly

Spotify on Windows 10 freezes randomly

Spotify with Window 10 freezes very, very often. Mostly when changing a song. The only "solution" is to kill the Spotify instances (there a several) with the task manager and then to restart Spotify - until it freezes again. Spotify can hardly be used with Windows 10 anymore.

Hey @vht4rfpvqz6olr6,

Thank you for your post here in the Community.

In this case we suggest that you perform a clean reinstall of the app. This is different than a quick reinstall and could be helpful to get rid of any cached files that might be causing trouble.

It can also be good to try with another internet connection to see if the issue persist.

Keep us posted 🙂

Cheers!

Hi @robkatt,

Thank you for posting on this thread.

Spotify always strives to have the app running at best capacity. However, some issues can be generated from things out of our control such as the devices, internet connection, storage, etc.

With this said, please let us know if you're able to use the app normally after performing a clean reinstall with the steps shared by @Jeremy. This way we can keep assisting you.

Keep us posted.
