Spotify only plays my liked songs, nothing else

I'm on windows desktop.
This issues has been going on for a few hours now and i can't seem to fix it. Whenever i try to play a song that isnt between my liked songs, it just won't play. The bar where it shows play button and stuff just gets grayed out, but as soon as I try to play a song i like, there is no issue.

Been battling with this problem all morning. Finally found the fix here:

Resetting the WMI Repository - Blizzard Support (battle.net)

1. Press Windows+Q and type cmd into the search bar that pops up.
2. Right-click on Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator
3. Type net stop winmgmt into the command prompt and press enter.
4. When prompted if you wish to continue, type Y and press enter.
5. Type winmgmt /resetrepository into the command prompt and press enter.
6. Restart your computer to pick up the changes

Would you happen to know what to do if it says "access denied" when I try the procedure you listed? I even tried running cmd as admin. Thanks for providing the solution you found

I have just started experiencing this too. It is very irritating. I have tried clearing cache, logging out and back in again, and also uninstalling and reinstalling, but nothing is working!

Any ideas anyone?!
