Spotify opens, but doesn't start up and dings repeatedly (Windows 7)

Spotify opens, but doesn't start up and dings repeatedly (Windows 7)

spotify_wont_start.jpgAt some point Spotify stopped working properly.  This happened a few months ago and have yet to find any solution.  Spotify opens up, but stays black, and the only menus available are File, Edit, and View.  Also the Windows error sound dings rapidly and doesn't end until I close the program.  Nothing else is available or clickable.  The interface never shows up.  Yes, I tried disabling and enabling Hardware Acceleration.  Yes, I tried uninstalling/reinstalling/rebooting.  Yes I deleted users\"username"\AppData\Roaming\Spotify and AppData\Local\Spotify.  I tried running in compatibility mode.  This is beyond frustrating and I haven't found a single solution across many posts.  Any help would be appreciated!  Thanks.

Same Issue for me!

Did you figure it out?

Unfortunately, no.  I haven't found a single solution in months.  This is very frustrating.  I've tried uninstalling Spotify and reinstalling it months later in the hopes that it would just be a minor bug, I've installed the latest video card drivers, disabled Windows Aero, ran as administrator...it's become so frustrating.  It runs just fine on my home computer and other work computer (which is identical, in terms of hardware and software, as this computer), but the problem has just persisted.  I am hopeful that since you came across this post, that someone else with a solution might come along.  *fingers crossed*

Thanks for the response. No luck on my end as of yet. Spotify works fine on my phone, but my desktop just keep "dinging" when I try to open it. Really hoping one of the Spotify administrators will see these posts and come up with a solution.
Thanks,
Alan
