My Question or Issue

Spotify never goes back online, despite having the "Offline mode" box unticked in the top left, and reinstalling the app several times. I nuked the appdata folder for Spotify a couple times, ensured that it wasn't blocked in firewall and even disabled the firewall, completely deleted my hosts file and rebooted, deleted temp data, tried running it in on other devices in the house (with it working) and still have no solutions for my primary PC. The fact that it detects the web player, but "can't connect" baffles me.

Thanks for reaching out to the Community.

 

We understand that you already tried reinstalling the app, but it's well worth running a clean reinstall by following these specific steps. This is more thorough than a regular one and can be helpful to get rid of any corrupted files from previous installations that might be causing trouble. We also suggest downloading the app again from the Microsoft Store.

 

If the issue persists, could you try starting your PC in safe mode and let us know if that makes any difference?

 

It could also be helpful if you restart your router by unplugging it from power for at least 15 seconds then plugging it back in.

There's currently an ongoing issue about this - No internet connection/ app shows offline despite on WiFi or data. We suggest that you follow the troubleshooting steps that's been provided in there. If that doesn't do the trick you can leave a +VOTE and Subscribe to the thread for any updates.
