Spotify "Downloaded", but not actually.

Spotify "Downloaded", but not actually.

So, earlier today, Windows 10 decided to install another update (this time taking up 6gb more storage) about internet security stuff, even though I have Norton already. However, that's not the worst, Spotify just decided to leave as soon as the update was finished installing. The icon on my Toolbar was completely gone, literally nothing there, and whenever I try to download the current version of Spotify, it keeps telling me that I already have it installed (screenshot attached). I checked in the Windows Store before and after restarting my  PC, it saying both times that it is installed and  can launch it, but I click the big blue button, but nothing launches. What do I do? I don't think I can go more than a day or two without Spotify on my PC.

undownload the app and redownload it.

I've gone through the Control Panel and uninstalled Spotify, yet it said that it had already been uninstalled. I've searched multiple times Spotify in my files, yet the only things that come up say that I can't delete them because they've already been deleted. When I go back to install Spotify, this comes up again (attached).

Hey @CoDAWUAV

Spotify lives in Appdata. 🙂

You can try finding Spotify folders in %appdata% and deleting those. Do this:

1. open Windows explorer and type %appdata% into file path. Hit Enter.

2. Check into Local and Roaming and delete all Spotify folders you find.

3. Restart your computer.

Now you can try reinstalling Spotify.

Let me know how it goes!
