Hey folks!
Thank you for reporting this - this should now be fixed.
Try removing your app's cached data should you still experience issues. If this doesn't help out - see if performing a complete clean reinstall of the app would make a difference.
Many thanks! 🙂
I'm in trouble again. The Spotify counselor said it was my pc problem, which is ridiculous lol
Have they fixed this max volume issue yet with the latest version?
Else I will stick to 1.2.47.366.g0d3bd570 for the time being as not to damage my hearing.
Hey folks,
Thank you for keeping in contact.
We received confirmation from internal teams that this should be fixed by now. If you still have this issue, we'd recommend updating your app to its latest version.
If anything else comes up, don't hesitate to ask.
Hi all, I have been randomly experiencing the same issue while streaming on various systems. You guys realize that a paid app should not ruin my speakers and ears? Not to mention my cat who occasionally freaks out when this happens and is scared to come to the multimedia room for a long time each time? I am streaming on boombox 3 where this can lead to 100 decibels approximately but also on fyne audio f502 connected to a very powerful AV receiver. The second setup is super dangerous for us. 100% volume can lead to perhaps 140 decibels in the room and I don't care about the speakers burning, I care about me and my family going deaf. Years ago when this started happening, I tried searching for a solution on one of the forums and found some suggested improvements post where multiple customers asked for a max volume limit setting in the app. The response was that not enough users requested this. How are we standing with this now? I mean this should not be rocket science to build a limit into the settings. Please share thoughts on this.
Happened again today, ears still ringing. I will be posting here each time, to report for your customer satisfaction traceability.

My Question or Issue
When first opening the Spotify app the first time I hit play the music gets really loud. I have tried to redownload the app through the website and the window store. Even if i mute the volume in the app before starting the music, it still plays full volume.
