Spotify rapidly pauses and plays

My Question or Issue

Using spotify desktop normally for over a year, and for several years on other devices. Today, spotify started randomly playing music. I didn't select a song, press play, or even open spotify for that matter. i was in the middle of a single player game. The player will pause and play music sometimes only once or sometimes dozens of times in a second. sometimes i will get through a few songs with nothing. and sometimes one song is too much to get through without spending 10 minutes pressing play on a 2 minute song. After troubleshooting for a while, i have no idea what is causing it and the only solution i have found is to close spotify permanently, which is not preferable.

The troubleshooting i have tried involves hard closing spotify with task manager, logging out and signing back in, signing out on all devices and signing back in, removing app permissions, and closing apps like discord.

This behaviour is quite strange and we'll gladly investigate further. The video you mentioned didn't send however. While we look deeper into this, please send it again so we can get a better understanding of the exact behaviour. If the files are too large to attach here in the Community, you can send them to us via Google Drive or as unlisted YouTube videos.
