Spotify storing media keys

Whenever I trigger the media key for 'next track' on my machine, Spotify just goes skip crazy. It typiclly skips 7 songs, but can and does skip more.

Using the built-in 'next track' button works normally.

Version: 1.0.65.320.gac7a8e02

edit: I've tried uninstalling, and removing the 'windows media network' blah service. No avail.

Launching the on-screen keyboard somehow solves my problem?

I'm not going to accept this as a real solution, so here is more infromation:

OS: Windows 7 Home, 64

Keyboard: Razer Blackwidow (2.21)

Mouse: Logitech Pro [gaming mouse] (110.2.16)

Browser: Chrome

I don't have the 'Google Play' extension, or w.e it's name is.
