Spotify stuck on loading wheel, Win 10

For the past day I've been unable to get into Spotify. When I launch it, the window opens and the loading wheel appears with the usual black background- but it doesn't progress onto the next screen (log in menu or the regular app interface) and just spins on and on.

I've already tried the following:

• Uninstalling Spotify entirely, including deleting the Spotify folder from Roaming, and then downloading the latest version from spotify.com and installing that. I've repeated the aforementioned process multiple times, and also tried rebooting between uninstalling and reinstalling as well.
• Checking whether I had a recent Windows update that potentially interferes with Spotify- last update was on January 10th, and Spotify has been working as usual up until today. Additionally I can't seem to recall any changes or updates I've made in the past 24 hours.
• My OS is Windows 10 Home 64-Bit (10.0, Build 16299).

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've attached a screenshot of the stage I'm stuck in if it's helpful.

I'm experiencing the same problem today. I just logged out of spotify which caused this to occur. I was working before logging out. Now I cannot log back in

Same here I just booted up my PC and Spotify won't go through the loading screen.

Okay i fixed it by manually uninstalling Spotify :

AppData\Local -> Deleted spotify

AppData\Roaming -> Deleted Spotify

And i installed and older version of spotify : type older version of spotify windows on google and you will find the spotify site with multiple versions of the app.

I personnaly choosed 1.68.407 and it works perfectly fine now!

I followed the instructions and downloaded the file. After that it automatically updated my spotify and now it's working.
