Spotify takes ages to pause, skip, change song ect.

Using latest spotify downloaded off of the website.

Spotify takes around 10 seconds, sometimes considerably longer, to respond to things like pausing or changing song. Navigating the menus also slows down when this happens. When this issue is present, I cannot control windows spotify via spotify browser. The CPU usage goes up considerably when the problem is occuring, from 0.6% when normal to around 30% when the problem is happening.

Mine is also like this now its really infuriating does anyone have any fixes?? i've tried downloading spotify from spotify website no luck and problem started on microsoft store, my phone respond fine. please help music is my safe space.

Use the website. I found that it works best on Google Chrome. Spotify was having trouble with Microsoft Edge for me.

There isn't a fix yet. You'd need to switch services to find a resolution.
Otherwise, just hope there is enough users that also have this issue so
they are forced to fix it.

I have a super high end computer with 100gb ram, 4090 nvidia etc, and this problem occurs 24/7. Making doing other stuff nearly impossible. Reinstalling doesn't help, new account doesn't help. Happens on both the app and on chrome.

Seems spotify has a massive memory leak and they need to get their sh*t together 🙂

I just started having this issue when I moved into my dorm and connected to LAN, there isn't a way to get internet through wireless, has Spotify found a fix yet? I've tired reinstalling, clearing cache, downloading and listening to it offline. It's just irritating when I'm in a game and it takes up to 15 seconds to even respond when I'm trying to pause to talk to someone.
