My Question or Issue

Okay, so, I decided to download Spotify so I can listen to music while playing games. I had 2GB left and I assumed it'd just be like, 200mb since it's mostly just streaming things (my plan is free)

The worst part is though... suddenly after I listened to 3 songs, my storage dropped down to 0MB. Yes, 0. I had to delete something and then it was around 100MB. Spotify is taking up over 2GB.

I can't get the exact number of storage it's taking up, because usually it says in the Windows app screen. But it's not now.

Now, when I try to load it, it says I need more storage to load the app, when it's taking the storage. What kind **bleep** is this?

Hi there @robbieradiant,

Thanks for reaching out about this in the Community!

You can have a look at this Spotify Answer for more information on why Spotify is taking up so much storage on your system.

We recommend at least 1-2 GB of free space on your disk for Spotify's usage. Keep in mind that more than that is needed for the normal functionality of Windows 10.

Hope you find this info helpful.
