Spotify uninstalled itself, reinstalling won't work because of error code 13.

Solved!

Spotify uninstalled itself, reinstalling won't work because of error code 13.

Just what the title says, Spotify uninstalled itself and won't let me reinstall, even after I deleted the Appdata local and roaming folders.

Is there a fix?

I manually deleted spotify desktop app after problems. After that i installed the version from the windows store without any problems.

For what it's worth, the spotify doesn't uninstall itself. The fact that the folders were still there is already weird.

Which version are you installing and when exactly does the error pop up ?

The newest version, available from the download page.

When i execute it, it downloads.

Then it says ''error 13, the required files couldn't be installed''.

Regards,

Artem

If you did a search in this community you would have found the solution:

@Chojin you said, "For what it's worth, the spotify doesn't uninstall itself."
You're absolutely incorrect. Why do you think I'm here? I browsed the Community for this issue and found it in multiple posts. Spotify keeps uninstalling itself on my Windows 10 PC and I have to keep reinstalling it. It is beyond frustrating.
