Spotify volume lowers in my car when I start recording

Whenever I am playing music with AppleCarPlay, and I hear a nice song, I want to record the song with my phone (mostly Snapchat). Everytime I do this, the volume lowers drastically and I can’t raise it anymore. This way you can barely hear the song that was playing. Is this a setting in Spotify or is it because of my car? I drive a Volvo XC60.

What you're describing is expected behavior when another app is using the microphone or sending a notification to your phone.
