I'm a blind user doing my best to work with the desktop app for Spotify. I use the NVDA screen-reader. When I first started using Spotify earlier this year, I could access the albums and artists I had saved to my personal music, but an update about a month later reduced those lists to a table NVDA could not read. The only way I could access the songs I had saved was my daily mixes, and the Songs tab.
At one point I had gone a bit wild on the Beethoven section and saved a bunch of stuff, to the point where shuffling my music meant I was bombarded with Beethoven. It was monopolising my list! So yesterday I decided I really needed to do something about it. I'd been deleting Beethoven's music every time I came across a track while going through my list on shuffle, but yesterday I typed the word "Sonata" into my filter and set about systematically deleting every track with that word in its title. It took hours, and occasionally I accidentally started playing one of the songs, but I did it.
Then, last night, when I opened my Songs tab, I could only play three songs in an endless loop! The same three songs over and over... At first I thought it was because the player thought I was offline, since when the problem first arose I could not access my Daily Mix. But since then, I have gone to a few different artist pages, two different daily mix playlists and several albums, then back to songs, and gotten no change. I even removed the first three songs from my playlist to see if it would make a difference. It only replaced them with three knew songs, all from the same artist as one of the ones I'd removed.
I know the songs I've saved to my list are still there, because I checked some of them and there were remove buttons instead of save ones above the player. At this rate, the only way I'll be able to listen to a variety of songs I like will be via my daily mixes and Discover Weekly list, since due to the playlist-building feature being invisible to my screen-reader, I can't make specialised playlists of my own. I hate how frustrating this is, but at the same time I can't bear to leave Spotify because this is the most good music I've ever had easy access to. I can still search the site for artists and albums, but I wish I didn't have to.
I hope this is enough information for someone here to give me an idea of what the heck has happened to my Spotify.
