Spotify won't download

I've had Spotify on my laptop for 6-7 months now, but in the last week Spotify wouldn't open. It would say something along the lines of " spotify can't run right now " (i kind of forgot exactly but kind of close i guess) or would just be a black screen. I decided to uninstall and redownload but now it wont download at all. I've tried close to 10 times by now. It really sucks being such a big Spotify user and never having any problems to not being able to use it at all.

What do you mean it won't download at all? Are you having a problem directly downloading the application from Spotify?
