Spotify won't play any songs unless they're in my library

All songs that are in my playlists, liked songs or playlists that I am following are playing just fine.
If I select any artist at random and try to play anything of their content, Spotify just won't play and the player controls (play, prev/next, seek) become greyed-out.

Windows 10
Spotify for Windows (64 bit) 1.2.21.1104.g42cf0a50
Plan: Premium/Family.

In contrast, it works fine from Chrome browser and on my Mac.

Thanks for the post.

We'd recommend doing a full clean reinstall of the Desktop app, following this guide. Sometimes there are corrupted app cache files on the Desktop app, which can cause issues like this. 

If this doesn't do the trick, check if the app loads content normally if you disable your Windows firewall or any VPN you might be using.
