Spotify won't work on desktop

Spotify won't work on desktop

I had Spotify Premium installed and working fine on my desktop computeruntil last Thursday when it crashed. I took the machine into my usual tech and he fixed it *but* Spotify isn't working now. It said the path wasn't valid. So after a bit of difficulty, I eventually unstalled it. It didn't want to to begin with. I kept getting an error message saying it couldn't be unistalled 😞

Having finally unistalled it, I attempted to reinstall a fresh copy. I then got a message saying that it couldn't be played on my desktop! I've been using Spotify on this same computer for at least a year. My desktop is a Lenovo AIO running Windows 10. It's two years old.

Anyone any ideas what may have gone wrong and how I can fix it please? I need my music on my desktop.

Hey @unofficialian, welcome to the community!

Let's try reinstalling Spotify one more time following these steps. Before installing it again, restart your desktop and run Windows in safe mode.

Head to the folder under ~:\Users\"USERNAME"\AppData\Local, and delete any Spotify folders from it.

Once this is done, try installing the latest Spotify app here.

Let me know how it goes.
