My Question or Issue
When i launch the program and start a song right away, it will start playing for 2-3 seconds and then i get a loop and second 2-3 are played again, but the song will not start completely from the beginning, then it plays normally and so do all songs afterwards.
except if i choose another playlist for example and start another song manually, then it will happen again.
but also not always, sometimes it works sometimes not.
never seen this problem before, until i updated the porgram today.
is this a known issue? i couldnt find anything.

Agree with you @czosnavvy ,ive even tried restarting in safe mode twice bugged download that a customer service agent suggested me, still nothing worked im waiting for a update maybe that can fix it
I removed and resinstalled Spotify as suggested. After initially seeming to resolve the issue it reverted to repeating the first few seconds of each song after an hour or two.

Same, although my problem is for every single song and I can't get it to stop. It started after I linked my discord.
FIX: if anyone still has that problem just go and find a version of spotify like Feb version that i use and then find how to stop it from updating, and it will be fixed. it's fixed for me after i downloaded spotify feb version and made it not to update at all by taking the permission from it to do so. you will find it on youtube. the problem is because of spotify March update.
uh, small update (if you could call it that) but the problem is getting kinda worse. the song just keeps on repeating at 0:06 and i have to restart the song for it to play normally. i'm not sure if this is happening to anyone else but i thought i'd point it out.
Not sure if this is of any relevance for the team who, I hope, is working on finding the issue, but I've found a proportional correlation between the song's total length and the time it stays stuck for.
The longer the song is, the longer it stays on repeat.
The Issue hasn't been fixed till Now ?? I thought it was fixed but now it worse. Now it shutters and loops twice before Continuing. Made me use the web browser instead.
Its really annoying bug and its there for longer time. I want to put on you some more pressure by this comment, really its not pleasant to use spotify anymore..

It looks like this bug isn't going to be fixed (or even taken seriously, it seems) by the Spotify dev team, so I'm currently using the following workaround:
Note this doesn't support playing local files, so you'll have to wait for the next Spotify update and hope that fixes this issue!

exactly. all the team does is ask us to give them some information about what's going on and then leave. honestly annoying. might as well just switch to apple music.
Same thing happening for me on my windows desktop spotify app. After reinstalling and stuff I found a strange occurrence between desktop and browser spotify. I've played from the desktop and had the webplayer behind the desktop spotify's window, I know this makes probably little sense but there was something I spotted. So let's say I play one song I've been listening to as of late; between the two players, desktop says 0:00 but on the browser 0:02, it loops at 0:04 (desktop) or 0:07 (web). Keep in mind I'm listening through the desktop, the web one doesn't seem to loop. So it may be that there is a time sync problem that the desktop loops for 1-3 seconds to compensate. Although that's just my theory from what I've witnessed on my end.
This isn't a SINGLE DEVICE issue as it seems to stem from a specific update for a specific player. I've skimmed through the first few pages of replies. Yeah no, it's not an issue on our part but rather theirs.
Did anyone mention that you cannot pause or switch songs during this looping glitch at all? That is kind of a key aspect.
