My Question or Issue

When i launch the program and start a song right away, it will start playing for 2-3 seconds and then i get a loop and second 2-3 are played again, but the song will not start  completely from the beginning, then it plays normally and so do all songs afterwards.

except if i choose another playlist for example and start another song manually, then it will happen again.

but also not always, sometimes it works sometimes not.

never seen this problem before, until i updated the porgram today.

is this a known issue? i couldnt find anything.

thanks

i have same problem so I redownload spotify and this doesnt happening any more

redownloading spotify did nothing for neither me, or others. did you install it from the microsoft app?

mine does that too

It's still there. It happens on every recent Windows OS I have (8.1, 10 and 11). This is a damn music player and it should play songs. Do I need a spaceship PC to not have constant loops everywhere (it loops less on very high end PC)?

I use Spotify free and I can only guess the pain premium users have.

I mean I could check what it does on a windows 7. For the meantime I'm running spotify on my web browser, using more memory which has a high chance of crashing my pc when I'm playing Ark or Conan Exiles. The thing is the staff's responses have been more or less automated. I could be wrong but it's the same messages over and over in this discussion from them.

i tried using the app on windows 7 and it didn't loop so i don't think the error occurs on older versions of operating systems. i could be wrong though. as for the staffs responses, most of them have just told us to try something/give them some information so they can 'try' to fix the problem and then disappear. i've been asked what operating system i'm been using and to send them a video of what's happening multiple times by different staff members. i don't think they're actually trying to fix the problem.

This problem happens to me too for about 3 weeks. I guess it's a codec problem. I am also a Linux fedora user but I did not encounter such a problem in Linux.  I think it needs to be resolved as soon as possible because now it's starting to get annoying. I think I'm going back to the Soundcloud.

It seems like it's from the shuffle, if you have a song on repeat, and it's the only song playing. Turn off the shuffle, it solves the problem.

It's not a problem caused by shuffle as I never use that.
I'm an on/off subscriber but I'll be staying clear until this is resolved as it is such an annoyance - worse than the adverts!

man. look at this genius...
it's not from the shuffle.
It also happens with normal song transitions, padawan.

Thank you for writing this post, because it keeps happening to me and it's really annoying, I hope they will fix it soon. Like it annoyes me so much, here's me trying to listen to my playlist and it keeps jump looping at the start and I'm like **bleep**.

Decided to play some songs on the desktop app today and same thing happening here. Playing on iOS seems to be fine and playing Local Files seems to appear fine as well. Can someone else confirm this?

I have this problem too, tried to uninstall spotify from the original website and reinstall it from microsoft store but it still have this bug

I heard uninstalling then reinstalling Spotify works but nothing **bleep**ing changed

Hello, I have the same issue even I reinstalled almost 5 times. Can you ask for dev of spotify to fix the issue since it is too annoy for me. Always listening the same beats sometimes. Reinstalling Spotify isn't a the best way to solve this issue tho.

Same thing here, windows 11 latest spotify version.

its so annoying.

Hope this get fixed soon this is very annoying 😞

Honestly, how long will this small issue take them to fix? It's been up for nearly a month and they don't acknowledge anything nor put effort into trying to fix it.

Idk , i Hope this get fixed in the next update

uh i have no idea what they're doing, but now some songs pause for like 5 seconds after 0:06 and there's no music or lyrics at that period of time. just silence. what is happening???
