Hey there @nachocardozop,
Thanks for reaching out on the Community!
Just to confirm, did you try manually resetting the zoom settings for the app? This should revert the layout to the original state. You can do so by clicking the 3 dots in the top left corner > View > Reset Zoom.
It's also worth clearing saved cache from the app to see if it makes a difference. Make sure to log out and back in again once it's done, as this will resync your account info.
If that doesn't do the trick, feel free to send us a screenshot or video showing how things look from your end. Your current Spotify version would also be helpful.
Keep us posted on how it goes. Cheers!
Hi,
Thanks for the reply 🙂
I just tried both recommendations but the default zoom on my Spotify still looks pretty zoomed in (which feels off).
My version is Spotify for Windows (64 bit) 1.2.33.1042.g26c92729
I tried to upload a screenshot but I don't think I have permissions, can you help me with that?
Best,
Nacho
Hey @nachocardozop,
Thanks for your reply.
Have you by any chance changed the Windows scaling settings recently? They're located under Settings - Display - Scale and layout.
If not, and your Spotify zoom settings are not saving between sessions, try adjusting them from the menu in the upper left corner of the app (3 dots - View - Zoom out).
To upload a screenshot in your reply, click on the Insert Photos button. If that doesn't work, let us know what happens when you try to do it.
Keep us posted.
Hii,
My scale and layout is set to 150% which has a label that says (recommended) and has always worked fine with all apps including Spotify, I tried setting it to 100% but everything looks really small (except Spotify that looks great at that point haha). By the way, I have a 14 inch screen on my laptop.
"Spotify zoom settings are not saving between sessions" this appears to be the main problem. I do zoom out hitting CTRL and using the wheel on my mouse, but doing it for every session is kind of annoying, you know? Also, I've noticed that it sometimes goes back to the zoomed-in (default session start view) even when I don't close the app. I guess after some time left idle the session restarts or maybe the token refreshes and that's why it does that.
Anyway, attached is the screenshot of how Spotify looks at the "150% (recommended)" scale and layout on my laptop.
Thanks for your help!
Hi @nachocardozop,
Thanks for the reply and the screenshot.
I have an identical setup and the app looks pretty much the same on my end. It would seem this is the expected look on these settings. To remedy this somewhat, you can also grab the lines between the different elements in the app and drag them left and right to make the two sidebars bigger or smaller. You can use this to adjust how much you see of each section and allow more content to be shown in the middle. You can also try using 125% scaling instead of 150% as that seems like a healthy middle ground between both options.
Otherwise, we'll gladly pass your feedback onto the appropriate team. Be advised however that we cannot say for certain at the moment when or if this is going to get addressed.
Hope this helps.
Hi all,
I'm having the exact same problem as nachocardozop in the screenshot. Super zoom every time I open the app, having to CTRL + scroll to zoom out. Tried resetting zoom, but it defaults back to something that is still way too zoomed in. Would be lovely to have an option that allows you to set the zoom for future sessions as well.

An easy solution is manually adjusting the zoom level from the above menu bar to your preference. After doing so, you can switch windows or restart Spotify, and your chosen zoom level will remain unchanged!
you can zoom out from there, instead of resetting zoom level and it will stay intact!
That's not the issue people like me are having. Every time Spotify opens after restarting it and/or turning off the PC, Spotify reverts itself back to the other zoom level. It's not remembering the zoom level the users left it at
