My Question or Issue

The desktop app is so slow after a week of usage because it's using the react-query package. I just got tired of uninstalling the app and then installing it, so here I am posting this.

Using developer tools, I've checked what's taking up so much time. The screenshot I have attached shows the performance graph of what happens when you click on a playlist.
The anonymous calls in the performance graph is here.

persistClient: async e => {
  await function(e, t, n=a()) {
    return n("readwrite", (n => (n.put(t, e),
    i(n.transaction))))
  }(c, e)
}

You can find the GitHub discussion about this if you search "react query persistclient slow"

Hey @metkm! 👋

Thanks for taking the time to share your findings and for attaching the screenshot!

Spotify is always working to make the app faster, smoother, and more enjoyable to use, and your feedback is very valuable to us. Make sure to keep your app up to date so you don’t miss any of the latest improvements and enhancements.

Hope this clears things up!

i'll just add my complaints. It is like entire app is so slow, sometimes on launch it takes 1 minute until the app loads everything, sometimes starting with "oh oh some error". I have 1Gb/1Gb optic fiber here on gaming G732LXS.

Other Electron apps like Teams have no issues with this.
