*Troubleshooting* Spotify doesn’t stream to receiver anymore. Out of options :(

  1. 3 devices (smartphone, tablet, PC(LAN)) plays songs fine.
  2. All show my receiver (Pioneer VSX 924, Spotify certified) for playing by Spotify connect
  3. Receiver shows title song, but doesn’t play. Sometimes a few seconds, most of the time nothing.
  4. Last week everything worked fine
  5. All devices are connected at the same network and internet

What I already tried

  1. Reset devices, reset stereo, reset router, latest firmware
  2. Reinstall software

 

Any suggestion?

Tried something that seems to work (for now).

Disconnect the receiver from power for at least 10 minutes.

For everybody who have this problem, try this first 😉

I got the same thing here.. 

Spotify wont stream to my reciever.. only for a second then times out for half a min then music bacjk on for a sec..

It worked for many many months. I did not change anything in the living room or in the settings.

Same for me. Cant stream spotify from any device to my pioneer vsx 1131. Worked great last week..

I had the same problem since the start of december. Tried everything, except disconnecting the receiver from power. This solved it!
Still have some issues with Spotify connect though, such as that it doesn't shut down after use (need to force shut down) and ir's extremely slow, both as of recently.
Anyway, still happy that I seem to be able to stream to my pioneer receiver again!

I have the exact same problem with my Pioneer VSX-830. My my problem occurrs almost every time i select a song or playlist. The song title is showed, but no sound. And i cannot change the song or "disconnect" from the device and "reconnect". Its simply stuck.. And the only "solution" is to pull the plug from the amp, wait 10 seconds, and plug power back in (going to standby and turning on again doesnt work either). This is such a huge letdown for me, because spotify is the only music source i use. And a major reason i bought the amp was the "spotify connect" feature 😞
