Unable to add a friend using user name

That facility does not seen to exist either on Desktop or Mobile apps.

Please could you help.

Hey @CKS49! Thanks for writing.

We suggest you try entering the following in the search bar: spotify:user:(your friend's username). Keep in mind that your friend's username should be entered without the parentheses. In case your friend's account was created with Facebook, try entering their full Facebook profile name instead of the search suggestion shown above.

I am not able to add or even find a friend on Spotify. That friend also is not able to find/add any people on spotify. I have tried all the given solutions in teh community including removing the app from facebook, logout of spotify ad log in again with facebook, unintall and install spotify again, change my facebook setting for spotify (where I accidently removed spotify and now can't activate it again), etc etc. I have also tried to share the profile link with teh friend, but he doesnt see an option of following me or any other friend. It cannot be this difficult to add a friend ...kindly help!
