Unable to login into desktop app

The other day, all of a sudden, on my Spotify Windows App, all the tracks turned grey, and the same song kept playing in a loop. I thought it was an Internet issue and changed my network, but no change. I logged out and tried to log back in, but it didn't allow me. When the Chrome Tab opens for login and I log in, it shows the standard "Authentication complete, you may close the window", but when I open the app, it shows i haven't logged in yet. I tried it again and the second time, the app showed "Service is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later (Error code: auth1)" I even tried reinstalling the app, but nothing worked. The Spotify web works perfectly fine, though

I was having the same issue, even after reinstalling a few times. I was able to fix it by going to Window Settings > Apps > Advanced app settings. I noticed a yellow banner asking me to login to my microsoft account, as soon as I did that, I was logged in to the Spotify app.
