Unable to minimize Spotify on Win7 x64

I jus installed Spotify .9.7.16 on Windows 7 x64 with dual monitors. I'm not able to minimize the Spotify window. By that I mean the full Spotify window with the main/apps/your music window refuses to minimize to the task bar. If I click on the minimize button in the upper left the window will disappear for a second, then the whole window reappears. What's wrong?

That's weird, does a clean reinstallation make any difference?
