My Question or Issue  Up until a day or two ago, when I selected "liked songs" in my library, I could select the shuffle icon to shuffle all the songs there. Now the shuffle icon is greyed out and CTRL+S is also.  What is playing is from the queue, which contains a lot of artists I don't particularly like and only a few artists from my like list.  A LOT of repeats.  I have reinstalled the app.  I have rebooted, soft and hard.  I have terminated the processes in Task Manager.  Shuffle is the most important feature for me and for it to not work is disappointing.

Sorry for the long delay in following up.  It was entirely user error on my part.  I had been shuffling songs and then I saw "Queue" and I thought it would show what was coming up next in my liked songs.  It took me quite a while to realize I had to click on "Liked songs" and then "Play".  🙄

Hey there @Mendocino

Thanks for reaching out to us about this - we'll be glad to help you out here.

Most common issues can be fixed with a quick reinstall of the app. In some situations however, a clean (more thorough) reinstall of the app might be needed. This way, you can start afresh with Spotify on your device.

Check out this help page in order to find the steps for clean reinstall on the relevant device.

Hope this helps. Let us know how it goes.

I was hoping to avoid this.  Will the contents of my liked songs be deleted?

Hey there @Mendocino

Thanks for getting back to us.

Your Liked Songs will remain unaffected by the clean reinstall as they're saved in your Spotify account.

The clean reinstall could only affect playback and functionality features like the Shuffle one. Once you've got the fresh version of the Spotify app with all latest updates it's expected for this issue to be fixed.

Keep us posted.
