My Question or Issue

I keep having a problem(s) with the queue, the most frequent of which is that when I queue a second song or podcast, it appears to replace the first. Then once I play through the current song to that next enigmatic queue song, the song plays but ALSO stays in the first queue position? However if I try to delete the first item in the queue or rearrange it, it blinks out and then back in like something was supposed to happen, but everything remains unchanged. And yes, the first queued song does play again, and I have to hit skip to continue on in the queue (and no, it's not because I accidentally turned on Repeat This Song.) Similarly, several times when I hit "Clear Queue" the queue either doesn't clear at all, or if I leave the queue display and reopen it the old queue is back. Essentially, if I've queued more than one thing, the Queue develops a mind of it's own and is uneditable.

I experience this issue with the queue on my phone (Samsung S21),as well as my laptop and have for many many months (and multiple updates). I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, closing out the app, shutting down my phone, clearing caches, etc, but eventually accepted that Spotify was just inherently frustrating and I didn't have any other real music platforms options that wouldn't be an even bigger pain in the ass to switch to.

What prompted me to post is that while DJ-ing in the car 2 different times with 2 different friends' phones (with their own accounts) I saw this issue as well.

If there's something to be done on my end, let me know-- maybe something is wrong with my settings, I really don't know, but the fact that this has happened multiple times to me on completely differently devices and software environments makes me think this might be very well beyond me.

Hi there @celeblanc07,

Thank you for taking the time to post in the Community and for the detailed description. We'd like to take a closer look into this.

To start with, can you provide us a recording from start to end of this process so that we can have a direct look from your end?

We'll keep an eye out for your reply.

Have a great Friday and start of your weekend 🙂

Take care!
