My Question or Issue

Hello,

This is my last resort trying to find a solution to this annoying problem. I googled the problem in all the ways I could think about but I can't find a way to fix this.

As the subject says, I uninstalled the desktop Spotify app and now whenever I click OR copy+paste a link like this (open.spotify.com) :

http://open.spotify.com/track/6rWOi7GalMoIPAhlsgpqBC?si=_4wQQzp1SQun79p8TuV91g

I see the pop-up like in the screenshot below.

Installing Spotify is NOT a solution, I do not want the desktop app on my PC anymore.

How can this be fixed?

Thank you!

Hey there @croymisch,

Thanks for the post.

Unfortunately, there is no way to disable this prompt, as you'll always be asked if you want to open the link in the app (or install it).

One way around this would be to enable a Pop-up blocker addon for your browser.

Hope this info helps.
