Updating an older version of Spotify

My Question or Issue

 I've been having trouble installing Spotify (I get Error code: 18) so I was directed to download the Spotify Full Installer. It worked and I now have Spotify installed, however it is a really old version of Spotify from 2014. I do not see any button to update and it doesn't ask me to update it. I am really missing a lot of features and I want the latest version of Spotify. How do I update without downloading the latest version of Spotify since it obviously doesn't work for me?
