Weird Badge appears when opening Spotify on PC

Every time I open the app a badge comes up that says: "No CD found. Please insert CD in unit 1" and it won't go away. I can use Spotify and my PC but it's very annoying, can anyone tell me how to make it go away pleease?

Hello @anapaolacasa, thanks for posting! 

 

If I get you right, you might have the same problem as the folks in this thread. If so, you can try these steps to troubleshoot this error message : ) 

Hope everything will be fine with you after!

 

  • Go to Start > Click On Run > Type "Regedit" > Click OK 
  • Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Windows\
  • Change the value of the ErrorMode key to 2

In your situation CSRSS.EXE (Microsoft Client Server Subsystem) may attempt to locate media which don't exist
