Weird white overlays?

I've been having some weird white overlays on buttons among other things in the spotify client and don't know how to fix it.

That's indeed weird!

Let's try reinstalling the Spotify client first:
Uninstall Spotify using the Control Panel. Go to %appdata% in your file explorer and make sure there are no Spotify folders left in any of the folders (Local and Roaming). If there is anything, delete it.
Restart your machine and then you can install Spotify again.

Purged and redownloaded. The problem still persists. @Sebasty

Hmm... Weird.

Try disabling hardware acceleration (in Spotify, should be under View).
Looks like something related to graphics driver dysfunction, so it would be worth checking if the drivers are up to date.

How long have you been having this issue, and which version of Windows do you have?
It might be worth making sure all the important and recommended updates are installed for the OS. 🙂

Turning off hardware acceleration worked! I was having this problem for about a month and I have Windows 8.1.
