What is Spotify doing with my mp4 files?

My Question or Issue

What is spotify doing with my mp4 files? I was trying to move some of them. Windows didn't allow. I checked with an unlocker app and saw that spotify was using one of the files. I quit Spotify then I was able to move them.

Can someone explain this to me?

Based on your description, I believe the local files feature might be using those MP4 files. When you close the app, it releases the access to those files, allowing you to move them.

Could you please check this article about Local Files and confirm if the local files setting is using the folder where these files reside?

Hello, thank you for your reply. I've verified that local files features is disabled. App still trying to access my files.
