When I'm listening to a secret playlist, what's visible in the friend feed?  Is it the song and band/singer or does it include the playlist I'm listening to as well?

When you listen to a playlist that is not public, the data that shows in your Friend Activity is: song title, artist, album the song is on. 

If you want to find more details on Friend Activity, make sure to take a look at this Support Article. You can also turn on Private listening to hide your activity temporarily.
