Why is an episode I listened to staying in my not listened to playlist?

While listening to a podcast show, I keep getting episodes I already listened to, they just start over like I've never heard it before. Even when I listened to it today, in the same sitting. Even putting it as listened to, it won't actually remember and just play it again.
