Why is my Username a number?

Hello,

On the Spotify Desktop app on my windows 10 device it is showing my username as a number. However on my app on my iphone it shows my name as the username?

How can two devices be showing a different username even though their logged into the same account?

I have checked other questions on here and found that it is connected to facebook and is allowed to share information with facebook.

Thanks for posting here 🙂

The long number that you see is your username. In case you can see your name- that is your display name. Your friends can find your account when they search in the app with your display name.

Regarding the username that is visible in the desktop app- this is indeed a bit odd. Could you give these steps a go and run a clean reinstall? This one is more thorough than the usual one.
