My Question or Issue
I have a problem with Spotify app constantly switching to wrong output device.
I have to manually pick the proper output in system mixer every time i turn on the app. G6 is set as default device.
If i disable all other devices but the G6, spotify will refuse to play media:
The weirdest part is: if I turn on spotify the mixer will display that it uses G6 as output, but there won't be any sound. But when I switch it to "Default" it will work (although G6 is the default device). When i switch it back to G6 the playback will continue to work.
I tried reinstall and clean reinstall, my device drivers are up to date. There is no problem with using spotify through website (google chrome keeps the correct output device).
Solved! Go to Solution.
Ok, found it: other device was set as default for sound playback:
I had to change it in the other device properties, not in mixer nor the proper device settings.
Hi @qzn
Within the volume mixer, try clicking the reset button. Sometimes Windows can have some strange audio behavior.
Let me know if that helps!

@kaworu_bloodpaw Tried that multiple times to no avail.
