My Question or Issue

So for the last day or two every time i've tried to boot up spotify i get this message:

"C:Program Files\WindowsApps\SpotifyAB.SpotifyMusic_1.92.390.0_x86__zpdnekdr...\SpotifyMigrator.exe
Cannot create a file that already exists."
so it says all that word for word and then i either have the option to hit ok or to hit x and close it. I've tried starting the application through desktop shortcuts, start shortcuts, and taskbar shortcuts, And I can't get into the folder to even try to boot up spotify.exe, which i found strange because i'm an administrator and the only account on the computer, but it's probably because some windows files you can't get access to even if you're the owner of the PC. I have done everything from reinstall the app to updating windows to uninstalling the windows 10 store and installing the website version ( which just gave me an error message when i booted spotifysetup.exe that said i didn't have enough space and to close programs and free space, which doesn't make sense cause i have 4 gb available on one hard drive then like 500 gb on the other.) and now i'm trying to settle with the web version but i don't really want google chrome running all the time consuming my RAM, which was one of the main reasons i loved the spotify desktop app cause you could have it run in the background and play music but not eat up all your memory. so basically i'm at a complete loss on what to do and am now sitting here confused and looking for help. I'd send a picture but ms paint is also acting up, so...

Hey @Sans3012,

I´m sorry to hear about your troubles. It looks like you already tried alot of good solutions!

Is your System and C: installed on the Harddrive with only 4GB of freespace left? This could be a problem for alot of Applications. In generall i would not advise to fill your Maindrive over 80% as the System needs Space to save and write!

What i would try in your Position: You could try to move some stuff to the Harddrive with plenty of free space this could fix the issue. If not please get back to me 🙂

Cheers from Germany,

Sebastian

Sorry to get back to you so late, but I took your advice and deleted everything i could and now have double the extra space at around 9.2 GB on my 117 GB Solid State Drive (C: with Windows and most apps that need to be saved to the main hard drive) and 560 GB on the 😧 drive. Sadly, still having the same problems and everything else on that drive is things I need. I don't think it would have helped though, as the desktop/browser download for Spotify is approx. 150 MB so should have fit even without me clearing space. Thanks for helping, though. If you get any other ideas just message me back.
