Let's say I have a playlist with 10 songs with static song indexes 1 to 10. Song index 1 will be shown at top and 10 at bottom.

If I am playing the song with index 3(third from top) and browses other playlists, clicking the image of the current song will bring me back to the playlist with song index 3 selected. This works correctly.

Now let's say that I switch on the sorting "latest added songs first", meaning the song with index 10 will be shown at top and song index 1 at the bottom.

If I am playing the song with index 7(third from top) and want to return to the playlist again, clicking the image will return me there and select song index 3(third from bottom) instead. This is wrong.

Thanks for posting in the Spotify Community!

Spotify is currently aware of an Ongoing Issue causing the wrong song to be highlighted within a sorted playlist when clicking on the album art, using the desktop app. I recommend adding your +VOTE to this Ongoing Issue, even though its status is "Not Right Now” and there isn’t an exact timeline for a fix.

I also recommend keeping your Spotify app updated to the latest version to ensure that you receive updates to the app.
