Xbox Game Bar does not work with local files and Spotify

It seems that whenever I try to play some local files I have on my computer through spotify on the xbox game bar, pressing the play button causes the files to play, but the pause button just doesn't show up. The play button just stays there. It's like nothing happened in the game bar, and the only way to pause the music is to actually go into the spotify application and press the pause button there. This is very annoying especially if I am in a game.
