Yes! Today's update returned old client! (v1.1.57.443)

Yes! Today's update returned old client! (v1.1.57.443)

As of yesterday, both my computers received a new Spotify update to v1.1.57.443 - and the old client is BACK!

I'm haven't seen Spotify officially acknowledging this anywhere. Is the change for good? Or is maybe just a delay till the new client has reaches feature parity with the old one? This isn't the first time Spotify has rolled out a new unfinished client...

I got the new Windows desktop Spotify client (v1.1.56.595) a week or so ago. For me, it went against everything Spotify development has stood for since the start; it felt unfinished and severely lacking in features and UI. And the low information density of a mobile phone display was being enforced on a computer screen. I couldn't - and still cannot - begin to understand how that went through Q&A.

This new client catastrophe has made me re-evaluate my dependency on streaming services. It feels scary to not be in control...
