My Question or Issue

Hi, I'm having issue "Your country does not match the one set in your profile" while logging into Spotify desktop app. I'm using vpn for a reason and I have been using it since 2 weeks ago. I found out that I need to log into Spotify again with vpn but I'm getting the message above even I set my profile country and vpn country to USA, How can I solve this problem? I can log into web browser somehow.

Welcome to the Community and thanks for reaching out about this.

 

We don't officially support VPNs, so it's expected that Spotify misbehaves when using one.

 

In this case, we suggest that you disconnect it when using the app.

Could you tell me the what's the foundation of  "the country in profile does not match"  app alert when I use vpn
