album artwork missing from now playing bar -- windows desktop

United states premium member. Spotify window desktop app, windows 10.

My “now playing” bar at the bottom of the screen does not include album artwork, only the artist and song names.  If I expand it to full screen the artwork is there on the full screen and in the “now playing” bar if it is visible. As soon as I click out of full screen, the artwork disappears again.

Thanks for getting in touch about this. 

First up, it's well worth running a clean reinstall to get rid of any cached files that might be causing trouble. This one is more thorough than the usual one. Make sure to download the app again from the Microsoft Store. 

If this doesn't do the trick, could you send over the exact make/model, operating system and Spotify version of your device?

Additionally, could you send us some screenshots of what are you seeing on your end so we can take a closer look? Make sure not to send any private info.
