automatically closing in 5 seconds after opening

automatically closing in 5 seconds after opening

Spotify automatically closing after ~5-6 seconds after I open it. But if I logout of account it's not closing. Tried clean reinstall, checked firewalls and internet connection.

Just to confirm, are you seeing any specific error messages when the app closes? Have you noticed if it happens at any specific points? For example, when starting playback or when selecting a playlist.

Also, are you experiencing the same issues using the Web Player

It would be helpful if you could let us know the model of your device and its OS version as well, along with the Spotify version (if possible).

We'll keep an eye out for your reply and see what we can suggest.

I'm getting no errors, has no specific points when it crashes, it closes
just after i open Spotify.
No this doesn't happen when I use a web player or a phone app.
I have Windows 10 Pro OS and Spotify 1.2.30.1135.g02fef27a

Thanks for your prompt reply and the info provided. 

 

Can you try clearing your hosts file by following the steps in this article? If the issue persists, can you try toggling the option Enable hardware acceleration off to see if that makes any difference?

 

Lastly, you mentioned that it doesn't happen when you log out, so could you try logging in with a different account? If you don't have another account, you could ask a relative or friend to log in with their account to check.

Clearing hosts and toggling hardware acceleration off doesn't help at all.
I logged into another account that I created and still have the same issue.

Are you by any chance using a VPN? If yes, please disabled/uninstall it and see if the issue persists.

I don't have any VPN on my PC.

Apologies for the late reply.

 

In that case, we'd suggest trying again using a different internet connection by a different provider and making sure that the country settings in your account are correct.
