cannot drag songs into playlist in desktop

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the desktop app but I am unable to drag new songs into a playlist to add. I am also unable to drag songs to reorganize the order of a playlist.

In this case, we'd like to gather some additional info. Would you mind sharing with us the make/model and OS of the affected device along with the Spotify version you're running there?

On another note, can you give us more details about where you're dragging the tracks? Is it from a playlist you've created previously, or was it created for you or for Spotify? It'll help us isolate what's happening if you clarify these details with us. Meanwhile, you can use the feature Add to playlist by clicking the three-dot menu of the songs you want to add to a playlist.

Lastly, is this happening to a specific playlist?  Did you notice if this started to happen after a specific event such as an OS update? If yes, please send us the details.
