so im using the app on my laptop and have a premium subscription in case that matters. My issue is that when im trying to view any song lyrics, the lyrics dont auto scroll and sync to the song, im not pressing any lyrics or any other buttons, just the lyrics button and it doesn't auto scroll. This issue started just a week ago and before this is used to work perfectly.
So for windows 11, for me it just doesn't auto scroll if i have it maximized. so the small windowed version (idk what its called) and full screen works. for mobile I got no clue
Hi there everyone,
Thanks one more time for the info. We've forwarded all of this to our tech team and will begin investigation. We'll keep you posted on the matter.
Let us know if we can do anything else for you in the meantime.
me too, all mentioned suggestions above are not working. but mobile and web player is working fine
my version is Spotify for Windows 1.2.10.760.g52970952 (Windows 10)
I got exactly the same issue, it is happening only for PC app for quite a while also all of suggestions didn't help
I've been experiencing this too and started several weeks ago as well. It only happens on my PC/Laptop (Windows 10) but works fine when I use my phone (Android 12). Tried everything as well, fresh install, manually clearing the cache on the folder as well as through the settings, log off and on with my account. In the meantime, I just use the app on full screen on my second monitor as it works when you use it in fullscreen. Not maximized, but fullscreen. Hopefully, this gets fixed soon.
I'm having the same issues. Autoscroll works on mobile and webplayer, but not on the windows app (downloaded from the spotify website). I tried a clean reinstall, deleting the %temp% folder and clearing the cache, but nothing. It started not autoscrolling anymore when the new info feature (the one tab on the right, showing song details and events, introduced with the recent UI redesign) was removed (for some reason).
Windows 10 Pro
The app version:
Spotify for Windows
1.2.10.760.g52970952
I UNINSTALLED spotify and installed the app from the website and not from the microsoft store. it still not worked. then i tryed to clear the cashe in the settings of spotify. still could not be fixed. i need help
Turning on friend activity works for me.
3 dots on the top left > view > friend activity
same here, please fix it, my phone spotify lyrics auto scrolls the lyric while the laptop one does not ( at the same song )
i reinstalled it again and it worked. but when i tryed to resize the window the issue again happened
same. i reinstalled the app and it worked. untill i resized the window and its now messed up.
Hey there @user-removed,
Thanks for the post.
It's possible that the Lyrics on your app are not scrolling, because the interface is either too zoomed in or out. Try resizing the window so that lyrics keep scrolling.
Cheers.
the lyrics does not auto scroll can you fix that
it is still not working unless you full screen the lyric window in the Windows App.
I found a "fix" for my use case.
I use dual monitor setup:
I keep Spotify on my secondary screen. This got them going again:
Spotify for Windows (64 bit)
1.2.14.1149.ga3ae422d
This no longer fixes it...
Actually, it did... but it took several tries. Seriously, can we get a fix for this?
When I want to read the lyrics while listening to a song, I click the lyrics and they appear and all but they don't move down along with the song. They get stuck in the first part of the song and as the song continues it doesn't sync and move by itself along with the lyrics where the song is. I cannot enjoy my music while reading the lyrics as they are not synced. Even if I scroll down to see the lyrics of where the song is now, it doesn't sync by itself and the song keeps going but the lyrics don't sync or move. I would like to know if this is a problem with my Spotify server or if it is like this for everyone. Thank you.

My Question or Issue
Ever since I updated the app (Wouldn't show me my Spotify Wrapped for 2023 until I updated) my lyrics won't scroll unless I'm looking at them in full screen. When I just have a song up (Which has fully synced lyrics and used to auto scroll) it only scrolls for 2 lines of the lyrics and then stops. I've tried updating my phone, clearing cache, and reinstalling the app but nothing has changed. If I could go back to my last version of Spotify which was less cluttered and worked how I liked it, I would do it in a heartbeat.
I also have this issue. It comes and goes fairly randomly; sometimes the autoscrolling works, othertimes it doesn't. I've found a bandaid fix, personally. If I resize the info screen on the right side of the app, then scroll down to the current lyric, it'll resync. I haven't found which behavior will make it desync again necessarily but this bandaid has worked every time I've tried it.
Using windows 11 app, most up-to-date version as of today, 1/10/2023 as I tried the reinstall fix to see if it would work more permanently (it didn't).

Amazingly this works even after you close friend activity. It pretty much resets the scrolling.
