no tech support, no music. my music i own is not showing up.

no tech support, no music. my music i own is not showing up.

and also, oddly enough, music i sure do not own, is showing up in my music.

where did that go?

all my music was bought years ago, music i own and saved to my computer yet only some of it shows up in spotify.

i was using groove, but since that is going away and has a system for sending everything to spotify, i used that- but spotify has lost much of my music, [music that IS on my computer right where i left it- music groove can still play just fine]

but spotify is also mysteriosuly adding unwanted tracks i never had, mixing up the sequence of my playlists... it is a real mess right now, and all i want to get things corrected at the moment is for spotify to be seeing ALL my music.

-i have a premium account with spotify, and i had to search online to get to spotify help since that help button in the program is non functional!

and then i discover that the ONLY way to contact support is on twitter? really? 

when spotify ONLY uses twitter for support it means people with valid reasons for NOT using twitter or any other social media platforms are being left out of any hope for help.

i just want spotify to see my music.so come on, spotify, hjälpa mig, fan du! jag behöver mycket hjälp! snälla!

I'm sorry to hear you're having troubles with your music!

 

Most of my local files don't show up either because they're in .wav. Spotify doesn't support lossless files, and that goes for ALAC as well.

For .m4a and potentially .aac too I recommend having an up-to-date Quicktime because this has the necessary codecs.

 

The culprit behind unwanted songs might be in Preferences - there is an Autoplay feature, and as far as I remember there was another for recommended songs. Go to your Preferences (also Advanced) and make sure everything you don't want to have is turned off. 🙂

 

Twitter is only one method for contacting Spotify, there is FB and on board support too.
