Hola, quiero reportar un error que empecé a experimentar de repente.

Estaba disfrutando la característica "don't play this artist" en la aplicación de escritorio, estaba bloqueando bastantes artistas que no me gustan, pero de repente dejó de funcionar. Simplemente no puedo seguir bloqueando artistas. Quiero aclarar que he bloqueado bastantes artistas, quizá el servicio de Spotify no contempló que los usuarios no querían escuchar a tantos artistas y se bugeó. Por favor ayuda, me encanta la opción "don't play this artist" pero dejó de funcionar.

He intentado usar la opción "don't play this artist" en Spotify Web y ha funcionado, pero quiero utilizar dicha característica en la aplicación de escritorio.

Ya he intentado actualizar la app desde la Microsoft Store buscando actualizaciones, he reiniciado la app, y también y reiniciado la computadora pero no ha funcionado. Desde ya gracias.

Quiero agregar que también he intentado utilizar las soluciones que ofrece la aplicación de escritorio pero no ha funcionado y sigo sin poder bloquear artistas.

Quiero agregar otra cosa, en Spotify Web y en la aplicación de escritorio, la misma radio de una canción sale de forma distinta. No sé si tenga algo que ver con el error que me sucede, pero es curioso que aparezca de forma diferente. Quizá tenga que ver con algún error de Spotify y por eso no agarra bien la información.

Quiero agregar que ya he intentado hacer un "clean reinstall" o una reinstalación limpia como lo dice este articulo, pero desgraciadamente no ha funcionado. Ojalá puedan ayudarme a disfrutar de la característica que ofrece spotify.

Quiero agregar que tengo 2 sistemas operativos instalados en la misma computadora. He utilizado Spotify Desktop en Linux Mint (el sitema operativo secundario que tengo instalado en la misma computadora) y al igual que Spotify Web, la característica  "don't play this artist" sí que ha funcionado correctamente. No tengo ni idea de porqué habrá dejado de funcionar específicamente en la aplicacion de esctiorio en Windows 10 (mi sistema operativo principal). No hice ni cambié nada referente a la aplicación para tener sospechas de que dañó de alguna forma la aplicación.

This is not a solution.  Did Spotify remove this option.

2024 and it still doesn't work. Fix this. Btw, every iteration of the UI/UX is consistently worse. Can you guys please hire some folks that know how to make a clean and functional UI?

The "Don't Play This Artist" feature isn't working for me on the desktop app (Windows 11). However, it works as expected when I use the web player and mobile app. I reinstalled the app and it didn't help.

Thanks for posting here.

It seems this should work as expected on the latest version of the app. Would you mind checking? You can check for possible new version updates in the three dot menu that you can find on the left-top of your screen in the desktop app. There, select Help> About Spotify. If there’s a new version available, you’ll see a button “restart to install”.

If this issue persists, send us the exact Spotify version you're running as per this moment,

Hey, thanks for responding. Indeed the error has been solved, I can now use the "do not play this artist" function normally. Thanks and I hope it works like this in the future, I love that Spotify feature.
