In the windows web player, there is a column when you play a song that says "plays".
Sometimes, it says 1,123,400 plays. Or some other number.
How is this calculated? Every month? every day? Every week?
Its impressive, but it seems to be a number without context.
Thanks!

Hello @TStarkMark46! 🙂
Good question!
It appears to be play count. It shows how many times this song has been played ever since that song got added to Spotify and made available for streaming (playing).
The user will have to play at least 30 seconds of each song for it to count as a play, I think.
If the track has not been streamed more than 1000 times, it will show "<1000" instead.
Hoping that was clear enough. If you have more questions, feel free to ask! 🙂
Hey!
Plays show in client are for the entire life of the track, global, and updated once a day. Hope this helps!
