With the latest update to Spotify, the "Start Minimized" option has stopped working - Spotify always starts in the foreground.
This bug creeps in every so often with a Spotify update, I don't understand why they can't build this into their regression tests.
If anybody from Spotify is monitoring - can you let me know when this bug will be fixed? Hopefully soon as this is a subscription-buster tbh.
In fact, it's even worse than I thought. Not only does it not "start minimised," but if you select "No" (as in, don't start Spotify when I log in to Windows).... SPOTIFY STILL STARTS!
I've decided to de-install Spotify and cancel my subscription.
i just registered to search about this . I love the app and the ability to control my music over my iphone but no mather i chose start minimized its go full screen after windows restart.
Just want to bump this by saying it's still happening. Windows 10 1709.
Just found out what the solution is, in the settings where the it asks if you want it to open automatically, select NO
Does this not stop it from starting completely?
